Terms of Service

Welcome to Throughline. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Throughline website, assessment, and report ("Service") operated by Tanner Hanks, an individual doing business as Throughline ("Throughline", "we", "us", "our"). Throughline is one of several brands operated by Tanner Hanks. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

The Service

Throughline is a self-discovery assessment that produces a five-pillar score, an archetype, and a 90-day focus based on your responses to a set of questions. The Service is delivered through the website at throughline.life.

The assessment is not a clinical, diagnostic, or therapeutic tool. It is for self-reflection and informational use. It is not a substitute for professional psychological, medical, financial, legal, or career advice.

Your Account

To take the assessment and access your report, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate information.
• Keep your login credentials secure.
• Be responsible for activity that occurs under your account.
• Be at least 18 years old.

You may delete your account at any time by emailing support@throughline.life.

Payment and Pricing

The first 50 reports are free. After the first 50 free reports have been issued, the price is $39 USD per report. Pricing is subject to change with notice on the site.

Payment is a one-time charge per report. Your report remains accessible in your account after purchase, subject to these Terms.

Refunds. If you are not satisfied with your report, email support@throughline.life within 14 days of purchase and we will issue a refund. Refunds may result in deactivation of access to the report.

License to Your Responses and Report

When you take the assessment, you provide us with your responses. You grant Tanner Hanks and the other brands he operates a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, sublicensable license to use, copy, modify, distribute, analyze, and create derivative works from your responses and the resulting report for the purposes of:

• Operating, maintaining, and improving the Service.
• Developing new products, features, and tools across the brands operated by Tanner Hanks.
• Training, validating, and improving the scoring models and any related models.
• Research, analytics, and product development.
• Aggregated and anonymized analysis and reporting.

We will not publish your individual report or personally identifiable information in a way that identifies you without your consent. See the Privacy Policy for more detail on how we handle your information.

You retain the right to access, download, and delete your individual report.

Intellectual Property

The Throughline name, the assessment questions, the scoring model, the report format, the archetypes, the website design, and all related materials are owned by Tanner Hanks and protected by intellectual property laws.

Your individual report is generated for your personal use. You may share your report with others informally (for example, screenshots or excerpts). You may not reproduce the assessment questions, the scoring model, or the underlying methodology for commercial use without our written permission.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to harass, harm, or deceive others.
• Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or systematically extract content from the Service.
• Submit false or misleading responses for the purpose of compromising the model.
• Use automated tools (bots, scrapers, scripts) to access the Service.
• Interfere with the security or operation of the Service.
• Use the Service in violation of any applicable law.

We may suspend or terminate your account for any violation of these Terms.

Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the results will meet your expectations. The assessment is for self-reflection. It is not a substitute for professional advice.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TANNER HANKS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE OR $100 USD.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Tanner Hanks harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising out of your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, for any reason, including violation of these Terms. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Wake County, North Carolina, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a notice on the site. Continued use of the Service after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
